This doesn't look as competitive as the second division and it gives handicap debutante My Galliano a chance to get off the mark. A dual-winning hurdler, he has shown more than enough to suggest he can win a little race on the flat, none more so than when runner-up to Champion Hurdle hope Marble Arch, who is rated some 56lb higher over hurdles, so it was a fair effort to run him to four-lengths at level weights. The Handicapper doesn't appear to have been too harsh in alotting him a mark of 65, and he is taken to see off some exposed types. It's Definite is sliding down the weights and while this represents a drop in class, he is one to watch until showing a return to form. Snuki stays surprisingly well for one who is out of a sprinting mare and his effort last time confirms that he comes here in good form. Absolute Utopia, although now 10, isn't quite ready to draw his pension just yet and has his third race in a week. He clearly retains his enthusiasm and shouldn't be far away.
