Verdict

This won't take much winning and Somerset West is sure to have plenty of support after his effort here last week, where he suffered trouble in running. He is well exposed and it may be wise to look elsewhere for the winner. Jagged looks to be going the right way, but he may prefer a little further. There is little to choose between him and Frenchmans Lodge, who was a neck behind over course and distance last month. That was the latter's first outing since September, so he can be expected to find some improvement and he is taken to reverse the placings. Ladies Knight comes into this in good form and deserves to find a race. However, she has the visor left off here and she may not be entirely straightforward. A chance is taken with Blessed Place, who will again be ridden by Darryll Holland. He does stay further than this, so expect to see plenty of use made of him from his inside draw.
