In depth

Verdict

Only a head separated INCLINATION and Swirral Edge at Bath last time and the pair are weighted to finish upsides over half a furlong further. They are taken to finish in the same order though as the Cox inmate may have greater scope for improvement after just four starts and his yard has enjoyed a good time of things throughout May. Plenty of the others have much to prove but Early Bird has looked a solid and reliable sort and should go well under Paul Hanagan who is reacquainted with his former boss here. The one to note in the market is Nassuvian Pearl, a winner of her sole juvenile start and thought good enough to contest the Fred Darling Stakes on reappearance when proving almost unrideable. This is a major step down from Group 3 level and she must be taken seriously despite the jury being out on the Beckett filly after those Chelmsford antics.
