Only 10lb between the entire field makes this a demanding contest for punters with very little between many of the runners. However, William Haggas has his string in tip-top form and his new association with James Doyle is proving most rewarding, so CAVATINA receives the vote here for the Newmarket yard. She was only beaten a length and a half in competitive handicap company at the Dante meeting and should deliver another positive performance off a 1lb higher mark. Roger Varian has a strong hand with Angel's Glory and Elation, both of whom can be expected to step up from acceptable seasonal reappearances. Destinata has claims from the foot of the handicap, whilst at the other end of the weights Electric Landlady has shown enough to suggest that she can play a prominent role too.
