Verdict

Quite a few of these have been recently disappointing hence the drop into claiming grade. GHOST SERGE is the most striking example as he contested a Class 2 handicap just two runs back but has yet to rediscover his form following a gelding operation. He would be very hard to beat if anywhere near his best and is afforded another chance. Montague was well beaten just four days ago at Haydock but is another who would be in the heart of the action if producing his best. He is well respected in this grade. Star Of Zaam also showed little on his first run after a gelding operation but previous best form puts him in with decent claims too. All of which makes for a tricky affair, in which Foxy Lady is also worth a mention for the Ryan team.
