      Verdict

      It is interesting that connections have kept the faith with Serious Impact so watch the betting there, however without that information we will side with COSIMO ahead of Qelaan and Tiger Flash. Louis-Phillipe Beuzelin is a talented young jockey and he is a positive for the chances of Cosimo. The selection was only beaten two lengths behind Emirates Champion on his second start last season and although his pedigree might not necessarily agree, he shaped as if he wanted this sort of trip. Spirit Is Needed is the only debutant in the race; Mark Johnston can get one ready and the market will help guide to his chances today. Tiger Flash is open to more improvement now stepped up in trip, comments that also apply to King Red. Qelaan is a daughter of Dynamformer and she put in her best effort to date when not beaten far behind Three Moons on her reappearance at Folkestone earlier this month. At a price Royal Bet may improve but one suspects that the palace will refrain, whereas Tried And True is an Italian import who could be anything. It is Cosimo who is fancied to oblige.
