tracked leaders, every chance 2f out, driven and one pace final furlong
chased leaders, outpaced halfway, stayed on final furlong
tracked leaders, driven and weakened over 1f out
went left start, soon tracking leaders, ridden over 2f out, driven to lead near line
hampered start, soon tracking leaders, ridden and one pace final 2f
prominent, ridden halfway, no extra final furlong
slowly into stride, hung left approaching halfway, never on terms
dwelt towards rear, never dangerous
led, ridden over 1f out, driven and headed near line
slowly into stride and always in rear
chased leaders, ridden halfway, stayed on final furlong
A tricky start for punters with most of these young ladies yet to race but with Paul Cole's yard on good form and after a promising debut we'll side with KATE SKATE but only just ahead of My Mandy and newcomer Lewyn. The selection ran a very pleasing debut to not be beaten far in what has proved a warm looking contest. Her pedigree suggests she will be useful over sprint distances as a two-year-old so we can expect more after that debut run. My Mandy stepped up on a promising debut to place in a similar contest last time out she may have been a little outpaced late on in that race but she should be involved again. Lewyn is entitled to go well on debut related to a sprint winner in Italy who was useful as a youngster but will probably want further in time. Tom Folan held her form well without really progressing after a good debut and if improvement can be brought out of her this time she should be prominent while Crown should be considered having finished a short head in front of the pick on their last meeting. As always with so many unraced types a market check is advised but Kate Skate looks the percentage call.
