Harlech Castle would be interesting if anywhere near his best but his two most recent efforts have been poor and preference is for Rae Guest's FILLIGREE ahead of Kipchak. A trainer who excels with the female sex, Rae Guest has had a few runners hit the frame so far this season. Traditionally his yard don't tend to get going until a bit later in the season but this filly was quick to come to hand last season and the same is expected today with the ground not a worry. Vhujon is very good on his day but recent efforts have been just modest, and Sparton Duke may be more of a danger. He ran well on his seasonal reappearance a year ago and although he is yet to win on turf he cannot be overlooked. Pravda Street goes well fresh and he is considered a danger, although his sole win came on slow ground. Kipchak and Dancing Maite come here on the back of wins in lesser company, whilst Gift Horse is thrown in on his old form but is not reliable and hasn't won since July 2005. Peter Island should come on for his run last month and the market will help guide but for the winner we are happy to plump for Filligree.
