Birkside looks to have been found another opportunity to strike with Our Herbie and Welsh Auction appearing the best of the opposition. Birkside is clearly not as effective on turf as he is on the artificial surfaces but he is at least showing some aptitude to the game at present and it might be enough to see him through against this level of opposition. Our Herbie would have solid claims if reproducing his line of form with Mick Is Back at Sandown. However, his win record is somewhat offputting. The handicapper has made life difficult for Welsh Auction and the market will tell us plenty about whether he is the sort to prosper for the step up in trip. Divine River has racked up serious losses in the last couple of months and as a consequence, her official rating must be taken with a pinch of salt. Diamond Key slipped when entering the straight at Chepstow but that didn't appear to compromise chances. Birkside is hardly a bombproof betting medium but looks to have been found an obvious opportunity.
