Verdict

A dreadful seller with little in the way of winning form and Calloffthesearch rates a token selection ahead of Brave Jack and Suhayl Star. The selection does at least stay seven furlongs on this going and while it is hard not to be pedantic about this race, he has less question marks than most. Brave Jack is a long standing maiden but he didn't run a bad race at Folkestone over six furlongs and he could be worth a try over this trip. Suhayl Star is tried in headgear. A modest juvenile with Mick Channon, this is his level. Smash N' Grab is a player on figures but raced lamentably at Beverley. Pat Will has had plenty of chances and is put up in trip. Royal Guest has been an unmitigated disappointment for current connections while Hawridge Miss looks no great shakes on what we have seen but has fewer negatives in the column as a result. Slo Mo Shun has never encountered going of this type so the market is watched. Calloffthesearch is reluctantly put up as the selection in a race that will not live too long in the memory.
