Verdict

For a low-grade handicap there is plenty of recent winning form on show. Plucky Dip beat PEACHEY CARNAHAN half-a-length over course and distance last month and followed up at Catterick. But John Ryan’s charge was due to run yesterday at Windsor and his old rival enjoys a big turnaround in the weights so can come out on top this time. Lamb Chop only won a seller here last time while Relight My Fire’s victory at Salisbury came in lady amateurs’ contest and he prefers faster going than he’ll encounter here. Channel Packet won over 1m2f at Nottingham and may not have the pace for this but Grinty is worth a market check along with last year’s winner Wahaab, who races off the same mark.
