Bertog has started favourite in each of his last three runs but is now 0-11 so fully exposed. Eraad is heading in the same direction while Eternal Frame finished last when market leader for a handicap at Newmarket in June and hasn’t been seen since. VERVE has obviously had problems as she hasn’t raced since second here in September last year. But she did start favourite that day and showed plenty of ability so could improve past this bunch. Glorious Jem also only found one too good at Catterick last month but was beaten an easy six lengths by the winner and would need more to land this. Dream Desert is a more likely improver being a well-bred son of Oasis Dream, though has already been gelded.
