A competitive handicap, despite the small field, though Rock Steady looks up against it following a prolonged absence. BYRON FLYER had become frustrating before dropping back to this trip. He’s now won his last two and beat the odds-on Dubawi Prince in the first of those at Doncaster. A hat-trick could be on the cards, despite a further 4lb rise. Huge Future stayed on strongly to score at Haydock last month but he would have preferred some give in the ground. Not So Sleepy has yet to win beyond 1m2f but did come up against an improver, who has won a Listed race subsequently, at Newbury last time.
Huge Future 5-2fav (10-0) In touch, headway over 2f out, led over 1f out, stayed on strongly, won at Haydock 1m 4f hcp (2) gs in Sep beating Busy Street (8-11) by 2 3/4l, 9 ran.
Byron Flyer 7-2 (9-12) Tracked leader, led 2f out, ridden and ran on, won at Newmarket 1m 4f hcp (2) gd in Sep beating Seafarer (9-5) by 2 1/4l, 6 ran.
Not So Sleepy 8-1 (9-6) Raced keenly, tracking leaders, went 2nd final 75 yards, no chance with winner, 2nd of 8, 1 3/4l behind Communique (9-5) at Newbury 1m 4f hcp (2) gs in Sep.

Dubawi Prince 10-11fav (9-1) Pressed winner, driven over 2f out, soon ridden and one pace, no impression with front pair over 1f out, lost place inside final furlong, 4th of 5, 4 1/2l behind Byron Flyer (9-5) at Doncaster 1m 4f hcp (2) gd in Sep.
