BOLD TIE appeals as the type to make further progress this season and is selected ahead of a field of experienced handicappers; of whom, The Tatling, Sands Crooner and Supermassive Muse all make some appeal. Spring Green also rates a mention as she slips down the weights to a more realistic mark but there's hope that Bold Tie can prove effective from higher marks than this in time as his pedigree suggests that he could come into his own this year. He ran a fine race from a bad draw on his reappearance and should go well if the bounce factor doesn't play a hand. The Tatling should get the strong pace that he needs and is likely to be doing his best work in the closing stages and a strongly run race should also suit Sands Crooner who has dropped to a very attractive mark and should seen be taking advantage. Supermassive Muse failed to win last year and is now very well handicapped as a result and is entitled to come on for his reappearance but preference is for Bold Tie. (Ian Ogg)
