A case can be made for a number of these in an open looking race, but our choice is RESPLENDENT ACE, who is preferred to Falcativ and Sahrati. John Quinn's 4-year-old has gone close on each of his last two starts. He has won four times here in the past so the return to this venue is a big plus and from a good draw he rates as the one to beat. Falcativ is a lightly-raced colt and he was only narrowly beaten last time by Kingdom of Fife. The form has worked out well so he has to be of interest on his all-weather bow. Sahrati was staying on when the saddle slipped and his rider was unseated near the line at Great Leighs last time, so he could be worth another chance. Wind Flow has got winning form over this course and distance and he also has a good draw so he could prove best of the others. This is competitive and the vote is given to course specialist Resplendent Ace.
