LATIN TINGE gets the confident vote in this opener; the list of dangers is headed by Timpanist and Chalk Hill Blue. Paul Cole's filly went close on her debut at Newbury before bringing up the rear in a Group 2 contest at Doncaster last time. She is clearly held in high esteem by connections and dropped into this grade she should be good enough to get off the mark. Timpanist finished well behind our selection on her debut but she has since shown improved form to chase home Alcalade at Brighton last time. She is clearly on an upward curve and she has to be respected. Chalk Hill Blue is another that improved from her debut when she chased home Advertise at Warwick last time. She has more on her plate today but she does have a good draw so she might be capable of running into a place. John Gosden's newcomer Hometown has to be respected on her debut and a market check is advised, but there are some nice types in opposition here and we will give the vote to Latin Tinge.
