ROMAN GLORY can improve sufficiently to land this whilst Appraisal, Sairaam and Tarzan are other likely candidates. Brian Meehan teamed up successfully with Frankie Dettori in a maiden on Friday and the engagement of the effervescent Italian takes the eye for the Soviet Star colt. He ran a nice race at Sandown on debut in a race that has produced a good number of winners and he can take his turn to open his account. Appraisal's proven ability to handle the track will stand him in good stead and he should give another good account of himself but he does look vulnerable. Tarzan failed to justify his starting price on debut but he did step up slightly on that form at Yarmouth and may yet prove capable of better. Sairaam showed signs of ability at Newmarket and it would be no surprise to see her step up on that form although the yard's juveniles have been struggling to make an impression of late. As ever, a market check is advised but we fancy Roman Glory to land the spoils.
