NORTH CAPE is given the tentative vote to win this tricky finale, while both Alqaahir and Solicitor are worthy of mention. The selection managed to win a handicap last season at Sandown off a mark of 69. He is now only four pounds higher and has run some fine races in defeat of late. He looks fairly treated and with conditions in his favour he ought to go close. Alqaahir has come good of late and has won twice this term. He still looks capable of being competitive off his current rating and he is another to add to the short list. Solicitor is lightly raced and is open to further improvement. He did come on for his debut to win at Southwell on his penultimate outing but disappointed at York when stepped up in grade. Now dropped in grade and Frankie on board respect is warranted. But for the winner we return to North Cape. Guy Lewis.
