      Verdict

A moderate handicap to round off the day and STARGAZY is our call ahead of Gracie's Gift and Poppy Dean. Stargazy had no hope at the weights of landing his most recent race in a claimer but he did shape with a fair degree of promise and if similarly aggressive tactics are employed tonight, they could bring about a better result against this weaker grade of opposition. Gracie's Gift is gradually heading down the weights. He gets a mile adequately enough and is one to note in the market. Poppy Dean ran well at this circuit during her juvenile campaign and it is possible that she might be able to come back to that level of form having ran poorly on the turf. Saucy had form for Tony Carroll before leaving these shores for the Emerald Isle. She starts a second English stint in the care of Tom Dascombe today. Bon Ton Roullet is still a maiden though the booking of all-weather specialist, Jimmy Quinn appears to be significant. Golden Brown has recorded a number of placed efforts over 1m2f so it remains to be seen as to whether a drop in trip will suit. Rowan Dancer wasn't disgraced in a Windsor seller although she often finds far less off the bit than she would promise earlier in the straight. Stargazy is the selection in the nightcap albeit to minimum stakes.
