REDDING COLLIERY is the pick with Al Mugtareb and Caerus as the alternatives. Jane Chapple-Hyam's training career continues from strength to strength and this colt showed an appreciable step up in form when tried at Great Leighs earlier in the month. The winner of that maiden looked useful and compensation awaits. Al Mugtareb qualifies for handicaps after tonight. He looks as if the step up to seven should prove helpful. Caerus was ridden positively at Wolverhampton and from a high draw, it would be no surprise to see similar tactics in play. George Rex holds a date at the sales but he would be of interest if the market spoke favourably. Arty Crafty is bred to be better over further and could need today's experience. Swiss Art had 25 claims in the box when tried here in a claimer. The ex-Ralph Beckett runner is now with Ron Harris. Mootriba is a half-sister to Lahan. She remains in the blinkers that accompanied her first start and is of obvious interest granted that she wasn't far behind three useful sorts in an above average maiden over course-and-distance. Some likely sorts on view and Redding Colliery ticks all of the right boxes for us.
