    Verdict

GROSS PROPHET can take this prize with Themwerethedays and Jo'burg others of note. Gross Prophet would have been better off with a number of these in handicaps though whether BHA figures in this grade mean much is another matter entirely. He is ordinary though workmanlike and should give a fair account against others that are less than willing to show their best. Themwerethedays suggests a race over tonight's trip is within his compass. A beaten favourite on his latest visit, he might be better going the other way around. Jo'Burg is on a very long losing run. On figures, he holds claims especially granted the form of the Amanda Perrett yard. Shake On It has not progressed as was anticipated and has become increasingly more difficult in his races. Soggy Dollar looks not to have trained on from his juvenile career. Andorn brings the merits of German form into play and is making a British debut for the Andy Stringer yard. Teasing is tried without headgear for the first occasion for some time and is watched accordingly in the market. Gross Prophet is the call in a race that is unlikely to be making headline news.
