OTARED is the selection in this handicap with Hinton Admiral and Il Grande Maurizio also making some measure of appeal. The Michael Jarvis team have had a good Autumn and having exhibited a fair degree of promise in decent maidens, Otared ran away with a recent event at Nottingham. The question now is as to whether the handicapper has done his sums correctly. Hinton Admiral had been off the radar for some time but he motored home at Chester on his latest start and has an obvious chance of reversing form with Kay Gee Be. Il Grande Maurizio is here off the back of two victories in his native Italy. With the racing industy in turmoil in that part of the world, connections are forced to come here for a run. Baby Houseman caught the eye in a Newmarket fillies maiden when finishing second. Unfortunately that race hasn't worked out as well as one might have imagined. Royal Intruder has only had one run on an artifical surface and in fairness, it wasn't a hopeless one. Barney McGrew is stepped up in trip having had no joy over shorter this season. Lindoro ran much better than the market anticipated a fortnight ago and is one to note in the event of any confidence this evening. Bazroy invariably is found out when taking on more skilful opposition. Salient travels well before invariably finding nil. Markab might just need some help from the handicapper before he can regain the winning thread. Otared is our idea of the most likely winner.
