LASSO THE MOON is likely to start a relatively short priced favourite after a very promising racecourse debut at Newbury behind Palavicini and should take all the beating. This half-brother to the Fillies Mile and Falmouth winner Simply Perfect was reportedly in the need of the outing on debut where he and the winner, who's previous form reads very well, drew well clear of the remainder. Antinori and Star Links look the biggest dangers to Lasso the Moon. Antinori has been noted doing his best work in the closing stages on his two outings. He was stepped up from seven furlongs to a mile on his second outing and showed enough to suggest he should be capable of picking up races. Star Links sets the standard with a rating of 78 and it would be surprising if Lasso The Moon did not prove himself superior to that rating. He was no match for the impressive Ouster last time but he should be capable of picking up handicaps. Admiral Sandhoe will certainly be suited by the step up to a mile but has been beaten in some weak maidens when it appeared they were his for the taking and he now has something to prove. Thief and Calaloo are others that should be monitored in the market for support but Lasso The Moon is given the vote.
