Distant Sun has experience on his side and is fancied to get the better of Dr McFab, while a move for the well-bred newcomers Tenement and Mark Of Love would be interesting to note. Mark Of Love, like many of the others, is bred to make an impact this year and will no doubt find his level over a slightly longer trip in due course. However, his sire, Mark Of Esteem, was very effective at seven furlongs, so there is no reason to strongly doubt his potential on paper. The betting market will give a few clues as to whether he is expected to deliver on the track at the first time of asking. Similar comments apply to Tenement, whose yard have been back amongst the winners of late. Dr McFab, at 130,000gns, was easily the most expensive of these as a foal. But has yet to justify that lofty price tag. He has caught the eye in each of his previous starts but already has improvement to find to get the better of the selection. Especially now that Distant Sun has a recent outing under his belt. The son of Distant View is expected to be a lot sharper this afternoon and he is expected to take the beating in this company.
