Neil King's Chalice Welcome won well enough at Lingfield last week but a 6lb penalty for that success makes an attempt to follow up hard and a better bet looks to be the reappearing INCENDO, who gets the vote over Trachonitis. The John Jenkins-trained gelding bounced back to form when chasing home Jeer over course and distance last month he has every chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. Gary Moore's Free Tussy has a bit to find with Trachonitis on running behind Jeer, while Hannicean also has form that ties in with Jeer having been narrowly beaten behind Mick Easterby's runner at Wolverhampton but he may be better suited by the slower Polytrack surface at Dunstall Park. Richard Guest's Kames Park won very well at Wolverhampton last month and has to be respected despite having been raised 5lbs for that success and he does handle this track but preference is for Incendo. James Fanshawe's gelding won a shade cheekily over course and distance when last seen here in October and he can defy an 8lb rise for that success and make a winning return.
