Richard Hannon's juveniles have once again started the season with a bang, so we'll take his ROYAL EXCHANGE to get the better of Red Marling and Foghorn Leghorn. Our selection is out of a Grand Lodge mare and many of his offspring are fast juveniles, whilst Richard Hannon's first four juveniles all won at the first time of asking. The yard have had success in this race too with a well-backed winner in 2006 and a second last year, so everything points towards a big run from this colt. Barry Hills has had a solid if unspectacular start to the season and Red Marling should run well with his son Michael aboard. This colt is bred to be a decent two-year-old and is related to a couple of horses who ran well on debut and can get the better of Foghorn Leghorn, who may just come on for this run although the same connections landed this race in 2007 with the smart Winker Watson. Prophet In A Dream is bred to be a precocious sort and needs a market check along with Memen who is related to debut winners and whose yard can land a tilt, whilst once-raced Shafqaan shouldn't be totally discounted as the yard's runners tend to improve for a run. Rojo Boy and Klammer are others to watch in the market despite the fact they don't make obvious paper appeal, but in an interesting contest marginal preference is for Royal Exchange.
