With the stable in such superb form we'll take locally-trained ARCTIC FEELING to be too good here for fellow winners Bathwick Bear and Novabridge. The Richard Fahey-trained selection was well-backed before scoring at Southwell on debut, keeping on well on that slower surface to win with a little in hand. There will probably be some improvement to come, while today's good ground should suit, and he is taken to follow-up. Bathwick Bear ran on well to pick up a 5f maiden at Ffos Las on his first try on the racecourse, and he fits a similar category to our pick, in that there will surely be more to come. The runner-up that day, his stablemate Scarlett Rocks, has boosted the form by running well since, and he is much respected. Novabridge was an eased-down winner of an ordinary maiden at Folkestone on heavy ground earlier in the month, but he could do no more than win as he did, and there is no reason why he shouldn't act on this sound surface, so he too has claims of a follow-up. Of the newcomers, Bryan Smart sends Boundless Spirit on the short trip from his nearby yard and he looks capable of going well on pedigree and with a good draw, while Coconut Ice would be interesting if backed. Arctic Feeling will take plenty of beating.
