With a decent draw plus racecourse experience in her favour, LADY BROOKIE is the one for us here, while Imperial Waltzer looks a potential improver. The latter, trained by the in-form Mick Channon, was well behind Novabridge (who runs in the first on the card) at Folkestone last time, but should be much better for both good ground and the experience of the racecourse, so we anticipate a fair bit of improvement this time around. It is always a bit of a concern when a trainer puts blinkers on a debutant and that is what Tim Easterby has done with Seven Seas Of Rye, and we will take a watching brief with the Verglas filly. The other pair who have had a previous run, Soviet Bolt and Wotitis, both need to make significant strides to win today, while Welsh Dresser looks likely to be much better over further. A market check is definitely advised, but without that knowledge we will side with Lady Brookie.
