Another very tough race to assess with every single runner having already won over this trip, two of them doing so at this track, but we will just side with DISPOL GRAND, while Secret Venue, Mandarin Spirit and Hawkeyethenoo should go well. The selection could have enjoyed a better draw, but that aside he is a consistent performer, he acts best on good or good to soft ground, and he is just 1lb higher than his best winning mark, so we will take a chance on him. Secret Venue is one of those course and distance scorers, and races from a mark 4lbs higher than his most recent win, which was at Nottingham in September. He has never yet won when fresh and would prefer faster ground, so we will take him on today. Mandarin Spirit is a veteran who retains much of his limited ability year after year. He should be better for a recent run and is respected. Hawkeyethenoo is 9lbs above his best win, and he seems to go on any ground, but again he has yet to go well after a break, so he is opposed, and Dispol Grand gets the vote.
