The drop in grade will suit NEWTON CIRCUS and despite a wide draw it is Richard Hannon's colt who is preferred to Lochbroom Sunset and George Baker. The selection was a promising third on his debut at Salisbury but in three subsequent runs has not run up to that same level. His fifth to Lucky Rave last time out at Lingfield was a better effort and he is given another chance. That is not the case for George Baker; he fluffed his lines when well-backed at Folkestone in June and there wasn't any more promise at Yarmouth last time. He is opposed despite the application of cheek-pieces. Ibmab is consistent and lost little caste in defeat at Newcastle last time out. He has a better draw than Rainsborough who managed to win on his last run in this sort of company. Lochbroom Sunset has improved of late in selling races and the market needs to be watched for Stuart Williams' colt. Chocolate Cookie drops in grade and the 66-rated filly is a player, however it is her stablemate Newton Circus who is preferred.
