Everything looks right for DIGGERATT to return to winning ways here, while Royal Dignitary has claims and Captain Jacksparra should be thereabouts. The last-named is weighted to finish close to Royal Dignitary as today's race is framed and he won a Lingfield claimer over this trip in July. He is not the most consistent of performers but he is due another good run and wouldn't be a shock scorer. Royal Dignitary is very consistent in this grade, with four of his last six wins coming in claimers. He has never yet won on the Polytrack, which is a slight concern, though he has run well in defeat on the surface and is much respected. Mississippian has proved a major disappointment since a debut Navan win and you couldn't wager with any confidence, so a better option looks to be Pressing Matters. Marco Botti's colt has won two of his nine starts, one of which was on Wolverhampton's version of this surface. The return to this trip should not be a problem, though two previous tries at this track have left plenty to be desired. All of that leads us to Diggeratt. Trainer Richard Fahey keeps firing in the winners and he has first choice pilot Paul Hanagan up on the filly, who is well in at the weights here, races over her optimum trip, and would not have been best served by the drop back to 7f when behind Royal Dignitary at Beverley last time. She acted well on Lingfield's Polytrack prior to that and we think it could be her turn again tonight.
