Ken Cunningham-Brown's St Ignatius opened his account at the seventh time of asking when landing a Southwell maiden over the minimum trip in good fashion when last seen in March but he does not look to be particularly well treated on his debut in a handicap off a mark of 72 and a better bet looks to be recent Lingfield winner DEVER DREAM, who gets the verdict ahead of Knightfire. Walter Swinburn's gelding has been in good heart of late, winning two of his last three starts including at Wolverhampton last time, but a 5lb rise for that head success looks harsh so he may have to settle for minor honours today. Michael Jarvis has his string in good order so Gojeri has to be respected but needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge and of more interest may be Andrew Balding's Dungannon, who looks to be going the right way following his recent success in a Bath maiden. Preference though is for the William Haggas-trained Dever Dream, who has won his last two starts, latterly in good fashion in a Lingfield handicap and he can defy the 6lb rise for that success.
