With Duke Of Milan ideally needing a reprieve from the assessor and while Avoca Dancer should be competitive off this mark we instead turn to the unexposed GLOBAL VILLAGE, who is very much the marginal call in this apprentice handicap. We take a bit of a gamble that Debbie Mountain's charge has further improvement within him after a couple of good runs at this level since joining the handicap ranks. That improvement will be needed with an extra three pounds added to her burden for a place ahead of a moderate winner subsequent last time but with the others in this field with plenty to do also he's the percentage call. Duke Of Milan is a consistent animal who has been running well in defeat but the handicapper keeps making things harder for him to score and he looks destined for minor honours again. Avoca Dancer has at least won at this track and was solid off this mark last time but is still five pounds above his last winning rating. Munich could be well weighted here and ran a fair race here last time but in a muddling affair Global Village looks just the best.
