SERAPHIM KNIGHT may help to provide trainer Nicky Henderson with some cheer by landing the opener from Grasscutter and King Cannavaro. The selection reappears after an eight month absence, but is likely to be fit to do himself justice after three promising bumper runs last season. He is untried on fast ground, so has that to prove, but it is likely that he will end up somewhat better than this and Tony McCoy can steer him home in front. Grasscutter has plenty more experience but is proving expensive to follow. He has finished second six times from nine starts, stays further, acts on the ground, and on the face of it has plenty going for him except the lack of a turn of foot. King Cannavaro should be better for a recent Hereford pipe opener and Evan Williams will be hoping that he shows plenty more today on just his second start for the trainer. Danetime Panther is fit from the flat and from a yard firing on all cylinders. He stays and acts on the ground, so he is respected. Former John Gosden-trained World Time makes his hurdling debut here for Tim Vaughan and a market check is very much advised for a guide to his chance, but preference is for Seraphim Knight.
