Verdict

DREAM ON BUDDY is an obvious player and is selected here ahead of Totally Ours, Gracious Melange and Tafawut. The selection races off a mark of 72 today and whilst a 9lb rise in the weights for a Lingfield win last month looks tough, the horse that she beat into second has since won well off a mark of 81. The stable are not in red-hot form but their runners seem to be going close and so from a good draw it looks wise to keep this daughter of Oasis Dream on side. Dubai Bounty and Gracious Melange are both nicely-bred fillies who are unbeaten from one start apiece and neither looks atrociously treated, whilst course and distance winner Tafawut obliged on her first run for Clive Cox last month and she is respected despite having a more precocious pedigree than most of her rivals. Lenkiewicz looks poorly handicapped, Totally Ours is out of a speedy dam but there are hints in her pedigree that she'll stay this longer trip, whilst Gobama and Ice Diva need to improve upon recent Wolverhampton form in order to feature. Sunley Spinalonga is closely linked with the selection on their run at Lingfield in February and is considered with a nice turnaround in the weights, whilst Ravens Rose looks fairly treated on a mark of 65 after a Lingfield maiden win in October, although the runner-up is no superstar. Again, a competitive heat, but the vote goes to Dream On Buddy.
