Verdict
First-time up may be the best time to catch PLYMOUTH ROCK and Jeremy Noseda's runner is preferred to Absinthe and Kidlat. The selection was a winner on his debut at Windsor in June before running two fair races in defeat in handicap grade. Both of those runs suggested that this mark of 83 is manageable and he should run well from a fair draw. Mount Hadley steps up in trip and is edging down to what looks a fair mark, Cluain Alainn is unexposed on these shores and needs close attention in the market as he drops down the weights, whilst Absinthe is yet to win but he is afforded respect on this seasonal return despite a climbing handicap perch. Kidlat has been gambled on recently and came up trumps at Wolverhampton last time but this looks tougher, Trafalgar Square is back to a winning mark and ran ok at Lingfield last time, whilst Taaresh and Cupid's Glory both run this track well and are considered accordingly. Aphrodisia is not ruled out either in a competitive opener, but the nod goes to Plymouth Rock.
