      Verdict

In race four, Xalted is selected ahead of Brave Jack and Jools. Lightly raced, Xalted could go well here, having a solid all-weather record - one win and a third from two runs - and after having travelled well for a long way on Turf last time. Brave Jack came from a long way back to run well over course and distance last time and, given that he was running okay from higher marks back in May, can have the case built for him today. Jools got back to winning ways over course and distance last time and, despite not being the most consistent, has to be given every chance from just four pounds above his rating of that day. Racing now from just a pound above his Wolverhampton winning mark, Wodhill Schnaps is another to consider, while a return to his February form would make Shava competitive, and at a bigger price - having made late headway over six furlongs last time - Minnie Mill could go well. The James Fanshawe-trained Siesta is another to consider as her best run to date has come on the all-weather. Finally, Sir Loin is trying a new trip but would hold claims on his best form if taking to it, and Lost All Alone is possibly held by the selection based on earlier Lingfield form. And that selection, once again, is Xalted.
