In depth

Verdict

Jericho III gets the nod here and can get his head back in front, at the main expense of Sunisa and Star Double. The selection won twice over the bigger obstacles late last year and reverting to hurdles today, he is able to race off a mark 30lb lower than his chase rating. The stable are in fine form at present and with the ground to suit today, he could be hard to peg back. Star Double struggled off his revised mark last time out and he may need some help from the handicapper before he can go in again. Sir Laughalot unseated his rider before the race had begun at Fontwell last month but certainly has place claims, whilst Speed Winner should be watched for sings of confidence in the market. Sunisa is a course and distance winner and wasn't beaten far last time out, so warrants respect, however for the winner we will return to Jericho III to land this contest.
