In depth

Verdict

Giveusaclue stands out in the second race, with Cathedral Rock, if he runs, and Thai Vango and Malvic getting mentions. A Carlisle bumper winner, Givusaclue showed plenty of promise when second on his hurdling debut so he should be strongly considered. He could well have been beaten by a decent type that day. He is the selection particularly given that his main rival, Cathedral Rock, may by now have run at Kempton yesterday. It would be hard to build strong cases for the remainder based on what we so far know, although Nigel Twiston-Davies' Thai Vango has at least won a bumper and Malvic is an interestingly-bred late foal. All of which, though, returns us to the selection, which is Givusaclue.
