Pendle Forest created a favourable impression when landing a novices' hurdle at Carlisle last time and, surprisingly, the handicapper has seen fit to leave her mark unchanged for her debut in this grade; she gets the vote to beat two other last time out winners, Dennis The Mennis and Wally Wonder. The last mentioned has gone up 5lbs for winning a selling handicap at Catterick last time and this looks tougher, while another last time out winner Lady Past Times has been raised 6lbs for her win in a similar contest at Newcastle. That was an improved display by the five-year-old who cannot be discounted along with top weight Dewasentah although she seems to have plenty of weight for what she has achieved. Relix has yet to prove a liking for ground this soft and of more interest may be Getinbybutonlyjust, who has run well in handicaps this term but has crept up in the weights. Dennis The Mennis has more to do than when winning at Sedgefield last time and preference is for Pendle Forest who is less exposed than most of these and is taken to make a winning debut in a handicap.
