Highland Legacy, Baddam and Gee Dee Nen are the trio to focus on here, with Highland Legacy, a respectable fifth in the Chester Cup, taken to resume winning ways. A three time winner last season, Gee Dee Nen is on an upward curve and will be sharper for a seasonal debut when not beaten fat at Ascot. He should be thereabouts but has to prove himself on this mark. Baddam has not won since taking the Queen Alexandra Stakes two years ago-the handicapper has never forgiven him. However, though he is still high inn the weights, he has been tried in high class contests, and after an Ascot sharpener he can give a good account. Highland Legacy has been a revelation since being stepped up in trip, winning three consecutive races. He was a commendable fifth in the Chester Cup where he failed to handle the bend. He is four pounds higher here, but he can make it four out of five on this more galloping surface and with the cut in the ground he needs.
