In depth

Verdict

Mesyaal, Khor Dubai and Night Seed are the trio to focus on here, with Mesyaal taken to show the benefit of a debut third. Night Seed is a daughter of Exceed and Excel and Richard Hannon's newcomer is expected to go well and follow in the footsteps of the stable's juveniles. Related to a number of winning sprinters, including Burning Incense, Night Seed will know his job and can go well. By the Jersey Stakes winner Kheleyf, himself a son of Green Desert, Khor Dubai was an expensive purchase for the Godolphin team. He too makes his debut here, though the balance of his breeding suggests he may need further. Mesyaal finished behind Night Seed's stable companion Tishtar when third on his Salisbury debut, keeping on well in the closing stages under a hands and heels ride. Mick Channon's two-year-olds are now in gear and Mesyaal can take this.
