A claimer opens the card and from a shortlist of Wraith, Chocolate Caramel and Birkside we will side with the last mentioned. The selection is a course and distance winner and although he disappointed here last time, he is dropped in grade today and with ground conditions to suit a strong case can be made for him. Wraith is a smart colt but he has yet to recapture his best form in his two runs this season and although he will find this easier than his last outings, he has a bit to prove. Chocolate Caramel has been running well on the all-weather of late but his best form on the turf has come with cut in the ground, so he could be one to have reservations about. High Command is from a shrewd yard who do well here so he is one to note in the market, but for the winner we will stick with Birkside.
