Gala Sunday, Tizzy May and New Star are the trio to look at here in this trappy contest where few of the runners are in form, with Gala Sunday taken to come out of a spell in the doldrums and provide a rare winner for Mick Easterby who is having a very barren spell. Tizzy May turned in an improved effort to be second last time at Beverley in a similar contest where she was ridden by today's pilot, the talented Lorraine Ellison. He has not scored since winning at Ayr in July but has slipped down the handicap accordingly and can go well. New Star has a fast ground Chester win in August to his credit, but he has shown some form on a soft surface, running a solid race in defeat over this trip on Tuesday at Chepstow. He carries top weight here and that may be prohibitive. Top Lady rider Serena Brotherton has a significant share in Gala Sunday and she rides him for the first time this season here after some woeful efforts. He finished off last season in good form, winning at Redcar and then finishing a good second. He races here off only a two pound higher mark than when scoring at Redcar and has won on good to soft ground. Gala Sunday can return to winning ways in a weak affair.
