In depth

Verdict

Rock'n'Roller, Mae Cigan and Mister Right are the trio to focus on here with Mae Cigan, a winner last time, taken to follow up. A winner at Newcastle last season, Rock'n'Roller won again at Folkestone last time after a prep run on his seasonal debut. He looks fit and ready to go well here off only a three pound higher mark. Mister Right won here last year, and having won two of his three starts over hurdles, looks an improved performer. He shaped well on his re-appearance on the Flat at Bath and runs off the same mark here. His soft ground efforts have been poor however and he is taken on. Successful on soft ground at Haydock in September, Mae Cigan was winning for the first time since when scoring here last time. Only three pounds higher here, he had a troubled passage when he won, and Mae Cigan may have been under-estimated by the handicapper.
