        Verdict

        Major Cadeaux, Appalachian Trail and Beckermet make the shortlist here with Beckermet taken to score. Major Cadeaux is a progressive type and he landed a Group Two contest at Sandown last time in fine style. This Group Three affair looks sure to suit, though he steps back in trip and has to concede weight all round. However, he looks sure to go well, and is only reluctantly opposed as he is likely to go off a short price. Appalachian Trail landed a Listed contest over this trip last time and a reproduction of that effort would see him go well. He is a little inconsistent but is respected. Beckermet finished behind Appalachian Trail recently, but had earlier beaten that rival at Leicester. He advertised his wellbeing with a fine third behind Assertive in a six furlong Group Two contest last time at York. This easy seven furlongs should not be a problem and having amassed almost ¿190,000 in prize money, Beckermet can add to that treasure chest here.
