Chanteloup, Articulation and Fame are three against the field in this open maiden and the vote is given to Chanteloup. The selection was a fair fourth behind Posteritas last time out when weakening inside the final furlong at Pontefract. This easier track should suit and with his stable continuing in form he looks the one to beat. Articulation rates the main danger but she was very disappointing at odds-on when beaten by Daring Aim last time. That form has since been let down and she looks readily opposed. Fame is another worthy of respect as he was a fair second behind Lunar Colony but he has had plenty of chances and it will be disappointing if one of the unexposed sorts in this race is not good enough to beat him. Mikao has shown enough in her three runs to date to suggest she can win a race of this nature, but she may be seen to better effect in handicap company. Mith Hill is a well-bred colt and is worth noting in the market but Chanteloup sets a fair standard here and is taken to score.
