Urowells and Shouette both showed signs of ability on their only starts at two but, unless Henry Cecil's newcomer Tuning Fork proves to be out of the ordinary, this can go to Mark Johnston's Blackwater Fever. The selection has had the benefit of an outing this season and, while the son of Irish River was well held by Black Falcon at Newcastle, the stable's runners have tended to improve greatly for their first run of the season. Being by Sadlers Wells, Urowells, Shouette and Dhakhirah should all appreciate the cut in the ground. Tuning Fork takes the eye on breeding by a son of Alzao out of a decent mare in Tuning and would not need to be too special to win this on his debut. However, he will need to be pretty good to beat the selection given the form of the Johnston stable.
