A very competitive handicap this, with preference for the hat-trick seeking MUSICAL BRIDGE ahead of Optical Illusion and Arjemis. Lucy Williamson's gelding is racing off a 7lb higher mark than when winning here last time out in a lower grade race, but from a similarly high draw. He's giving plenty of weight away to the others on the shortlist, but is at the top of his game, with the blinkers seemingly having worked wonders. Optical Illusion doesn't win as often as he should, although his two career wins have come over course and distance. Arjemis is lightly raced, and both her wins came at Catterick over this trip. Expect to see her produced late on. Ask Jenny hasn't been out of the frame in her last four outings, but was due at Brighton yesterday. It doesn't look like a race with a great deal of pace in it for a sprint, but we think that getting home first will be Musical Bridge.
