Verdict

Bustan, Sunnyside Tom and Society Music look the principals here, with Bustan getting the vote to score. Richard Fahey has elected to run Sunnyside Tom with a six pound penalty after a driven out success at Musselburgh. The yard are in good form, but that was only the second win of his career and he may struggle with the penalty. Society Music won a similar contest at Thirsk in September, and he races off a four pound lower mark after a winless run since. His good fourth last time suggests he can play a part here. After 35 runs the nine-year-old Bustan is thoroughly exposed, but he retains his form well. A winner at Sandown off only a two pound lower mark, he was beatenn less than a length in an attempted follow up, despite being struck by a rival rider's whip. Bustan can prove too strong.
